Multiple Organism Jazz Orchestra
Formed in 2006 by Edinburgh multi-instrumentalists/composers Tom Pickles and Zack A. Moir, the ‘Multiple Organism Jazz Orchestra’ is all about taking big-band jazz somewhere new. The band’s debut album, Arguments (Waiting To Happen), consisting of compositions by Tom and Zack, will be released on Thursday the 28 th of August.
The Multiple Organism Jazz Orchestra may seem, in terms of line up, like any other big band - however with influences ranging from John Coltrane to Led Zeppelin, the 20 piece band have a sound that is entirely unique and will have something to suit everyone’s tastes.
The album launch party will be held at The GRV, 37 Guthrie Street, Edinburgh from 7:30pm where the full band will perform live. Entry is free and the launch will be sponsored by anCnoc Highland Single Malt who will be there all night providing free whisky and whisky cocktails.
