On Tuesday 10th March 2020 Ant’s band performed in Hamburg. Unbeknownst to them (as they flew home the next day), this would be their final performance for a long while! The pandemic cut short the European leg of The Sleeper Wakes tour and London was locked down for the first time. Ant seized the opportunity to collaborate with other artists from across the globe who were also “staying at home”, many of whom he had never worked with before. Together they reimagined Ant’s existing compositions, creating brand new versions and putting together remotely recorded music videos.
On Thursdays Ant began a series of weekly livestreams in which he broadcast the videos and interviewed the guests. These streams now take place on the last Thursday of every month on YouTube, facebook & Twitch simultaneously.
